I am a storyteller. I also like the process of creating the story—working on my own or, better yet, with a team—shaping something that has yet to be fully realized. I’ve worked at museums, in classrooms, in boardrooms, and in pizza restaurants. I was also a professional sea comedian (not a joke).
I currently write for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood (PBS), Creative Galaxy (Amazon), and Odd Squad (PBS), and design experiences with ESI Design.
And of course, I live in Brooklyn, even though I don’t run an artisanal business…yet.
I had the honor of working with the committee of Native peoples who vetted this permanent exhibition at the Field Museum. I also curated the Past Meets Present : Voices of Our Peoples exhibit which they designed.
I created characters and storylines for several animated elementary school assessments. The goal was to make testing less stressful. Can there be anything less stressful than a worm wearing glasses?
I have written for all three seasons of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood on PBS. I love this show. It is sweet, and funny, and children suck it up like a never-ending pro-social juice box.
I have written for both seasons of Creative Galaxy on Amazon Originals. It is really fun to come up with all sorts of ways that kids can see themselves as artists. It’s also pretty sweet to write for Cloris Leachman.
Working with JMH Education (now Carrot NYC) I created the Finding My Forest website and curriculum for the United States Forest Service with the goal of getting kids out into natural spaces. The 15-year old girl in me who canoed for 9 days in the Adirondack wilderness is proud. TASKS Developed concept and wrote content […]
I created Beetle Busters: Freeze & Collect with JMH Education (now Carrot NYC) for the USDA Animal & Plant Health Protection Service. It was part of a national campaign, including a website and curriculum, to train children to find and report the Asian Longhorned Beetle, an invasive insect. Bottomline, don’t move firewood. And if you see […]
With Plimoth Plantation, I worked with a team of educators and designers to create You Are the Historian: Investigating the First Thanksgiving. Did you know that the First Thanksgiving was neither a first nor a Thanksgiving? Everyone should know, and this interactive site where kids get to play history detective is a great way to start. TASKS Developed […]

Marty Johnson and I have been performing improv and sketch comedy together for a million years. The Friars Club selected us as one of the top five sketch groups in the nation…twice! We’re the only group to receive that honor. We’ve also screened our pilot at the New York Television Festival, sailed the seas performing for The Second […]
